DA1000TX Digital/Analogue Converter
BRINGS TRUE BEAUTY OF MUSIC TO LIFE
Listen to recordings exactly as the artists intended. Made possible by an improved and refined design inside and out.
RESPONSIVENESS
The DA1000TX is equipped with the third generation of our proprietary Asynchronous USB Communication Engine. This engine captures PCM384kHz/32bit and DSD256 digital signals at a sampling rate of 11.2 MHz from computers via a USB port.
With the added benefit of high speed analogue circuitry, they are capable of reproducing high-resolution digital audio - from tight, highly transient bass to high frequencies beyond the audible spectrum - with unprecedented levels of detail, clarity and dynamics.
PRECISION
To convey all the emotion and passion of the original source, the reproduction must be precise and pure. In the tradition of TAD's relentless pursuit of this philosophy, high-performance dual differential D/A converter ICs are used in parallel - one for each channel. In addition, the ultra-high C/N (carrier-to-noise ratio) master clock UPCG (ultra-high-precision crystal generator) takes the signal-to-noise ratio to unprecedented levels, both in the laboratory and in real-world environments. The discrete current-to-voltage (I/V) conversion circuitry reduces residual noise even at high slew rates. With all these technical innovations, the D/A conversion has achieved essentially flawless accuracy.
AUTHENTICITY
All internal parts and circuits are manufactured and designed with meticulous care and precision. Our selection and use of components is validated through uncompromising, iterative testing and auditioning processes to ensure alignment between theory and practice. This is the essence and DNA of all TAD audio equipment. For example, the high-output toroidal primary power transformer connects its internal coil wire directly to the power supply circuit to comfortably handle the enormous power and speed required for high-resolution sound reproduction. In addition, the use of independent power supply transformers for the analogue and digital circuits eliminates even the slightest chance of mutual interference.
PROGRESS
The TAD DA1000TX is a digital media centre capable of handling high-resolution audio sources in its purest form. Its line output has its own volume control, allowing it to be connected directly to a power amplifier to simplify the signal path. As an added bonus, the DA1000TX is equipped with a high quality headphone amplifier, powered by an independent power supply with its own coil wire. The headphone output uses dedicated D/A conversion circuitry and a discrete output buffer to take the headphone listening experience to a new level.
